For our developing and fast-growing Branch Office in Bangalore (Karnataka, India), we are looking to hire a detail-orientated, deadline-driven 24/7 based shift role Service Desk Engineer.

YOUR KEY RESPONSABILITIES WILL BE

We want to provide 24/7 fair, friendly, efficient service to our customers. In this role, as a service desk engineer you will be responsible for tracking and resolving all assigned support requests trough effective decision making and problem-solving skills acting as the technical point while delivering quality and satisfying customer service.

  • Attend worldwide customer service calls and e-mails, providing advice and guidance to customer, keeping to the highest standard of customer service.
  • Assisting clients with an effective resolution to reported technical incidents.
  • Provide first line solutions and/or alternatives.
  • Execute timely reporting of all discovered technical issues (recognise and report incident for which root cause analysis is necessary).
  • Act as an ambassador for Delvitech at all times, ensuring and promoting good working relationships with the customers.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor / Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or similar.
  • + 3-5 years of relatable and demonstrable work experience in the same role (mandatory).
  • Familiarity with Engineering disciplines, including Electrical, Electronical, Optical and Software.
  • Knowledge of PTH, SMT, robotics and electronics manufacturing will be considered a plus.
  • A sound understanding of various operating systems and browsers and CRM software.
  • Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Availability to periodically travel to customer sites.
  • Shift work availability is required (day, afternoon and night shifts).
  • Readily adjusts schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs.

  • Driven by helping others (previous experience in technical customer support is an advantage).
  • Excellent active listening and customer service skills, embracing different cultural perspectives.
  • Strong customer service skills, empathising with customers and approaching telephone conversations with a courteous manner.
  • High level of analytical proficiency and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management skills and ability to deal with multiple requests without being overwhelmed.
  • Cross cultural interpersonal communication skills as you will be speaking with our worldwide customers.
